Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus.
– Philippians 1:1
But you know of [Timothy’s] proven worth, that he served with me in the furtherance of the gospel like a child serving his father.
– Philippians 2:22
A father’s commitment does not come and go. He will never say to his child, “So, you finally graduated from a university. Now get out of here! My responsibility is over!” A father’s responsibility for his children continues until they have sufficiently developed. This is a commitment. He cannot take a vacation from being a father.
